Coming Up This Month On Mzansi Magic

It will be difficult to turn-off your television set this January. Mzansi Magic has lined up a series of new exciting shows that will keep you entertained in the new year.

Entertainment starts with season one of The Haves and the Have Nots when it premieres on Mzansi Magic on Saturday, 4 January at 19h00. From creative writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, “The Haves and theHave Nots” is a thrilling television drama which follows the complicated lifestyles of three families. Between the rich and powerful Cryer family, Harrington and the Young family hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia. From the outside, the Cryer’s are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil, the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege.

Who said cooking for the masses is an easy task ? On Monday, 6 January we premiere Hot Plate Catering Ekasi at 19:00. This reality show takes a look inside the pressurised world of Ekasi caterers. Journaling their experiences as they complete their task of cooking for the masses.

On Tuesday, 7 January at 19h00 is a return of Uvelaphi? season two. This time around returns with a new presenter, comical Trevor Gumbi. Trevor is a South African comedian and actor. He has co-hosted Mzansi Magic entertainment magazine show Headline. Uvelaphi ? takes South African legends back to their childhood days. The viewer experiences these journeys first hand with Toyota, and get to know the other side of the celebrities we see on TV every day – Big dreams do indeed start small!

It’s laughter galore on Mzansi Magic when Kota Life Crisis premieres on Tuesday, 7 January at 19h30. Kota Life Crisis is a sitcom show that promise to leave you in stiches.

This is a story of three half-siblings. After the death of their estranged father, Themba Sihlahla, two brothers Voni and Sduduzo inherit his house – with its adjoining tuckshop. But that’s not all…they inherit Casper, another half-sibling! They are trying to run a family and a family business. Kota Life Crisis features prominent actors such as Thapelo Mokoana, Mackmillian Leshumo and Given Stuurman as well as Bongani Madondo.

It will be sweat, tears and pain when Kabelo’s Bootcamp return for season two on Wednesday, 8 January at 19h00 . The camp master is none other than Kabelo Mabalane. This reality series show ten people who are desperate to change their lives. They are placed in a house to learn to take charge of their bodies, minds and ultimately their lives boot camp style.

Pave the way to Miss South Africa as we preview Road To Miss SA on Sunday, 26 January at 17:30.This reality series look at the build-up to the glitzy glamour of the pageant, showcasing all that goes on behind the scenes that leads to the crowning of Miss South Africa 2014. The audience will get to know each contestant individually, what they are about and what makes them perfect contenders for the crown.
