Missed Isibaya? Here’s a run down of what happened in Bhubesini this week.

Mandla and Bongani found themselves in a heap of trouble this week after the chief’s taxi, overflowing with illicit drugs, was hijacked.

Little did they know uSomahhashi himself had staged the hijacking, to put an end to Mandla and Ngwebedla using his taxis to build their wealth. After a tense meeting that saw guns being bandied about, the chief ordered Mandla to give him a 10% cut of the profits every week. Money talks!

On the unrequited love front, Fezile finally built up the courage to tell his former “thembalami” uQondi that he still loves her and hopes they will make it work someday, despite the chief being hot on her heels.

A smitten Melusi also found himself in a bit of a pickle, when the girl he has a crush on made it clear the only way she would even look his way is if he bought her a Gucci bag.

Intent on making a good impression, Melusi decided to sell marijuana to raise funds for his Gucci mission.

Time will tell whether lover boy can get away with selling drugs and also get the girl. Still on the love front, Zanele is still holding on to the hope that she and Bhekifa’s relationship will grow into something more, despite both Thabiso and Zweli advising her otherwise. The beauty is still unaware that the chief is smitten with Qondi and is pulling out the stops to ensure he walks her down the aisle. The week ended with a horrific murder at the spaza shop. Qondi’s mashonisa was gunned down by a masked gunman, who later turned out to be Bongani.

The drama continues next week! Tune in to Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) every weekday from 20:30 to 21:00 for your daily serving of gritty television, on Isibaya
