An Original Mzansi Magic Movie showed this past Sunday, called “Rise”, starring Xolile Tshabalala and Mutodi Neshehe.
The movie tells a story of a dedicated teacher that faces a lot of obstacles at her new school as she battles to push the pupils to realise their true potential.
It came as no surprise that the movie trended on twitter and social media was abuzz with comments about the incredible talent, the importance of a film that appealed to the South African context and the movie’s stellar production.
