This past Sunday, Xolile and Mbhekeni decided to share their love story and their trip down the ailse towards wedded bliss with all of South Africa. The love-birds met at a local choir, where Bheki was one of the choirmasters and Xolile was a songbird, and his protege. Sparks quickly began to fly for Bheki, but Xolile was not feeling him at all, as she was already seeing someone, the father of her child.
But just as The Supremes sang, you can’t hurry love. Xolile’s love hearth slowly began building a fire for Mbhekeni, and soon enough, his love was requited. The couple shares a love for singing, and their duet got a yes from Mzansi.

The bride’s day was extra special. Not only was she marrying the man of her dreams, but she celebrated her birthday too. “It was the greatest birthday gift Mbatha could ever have given me,” she cooed. And just after they’d been pronounced man and wife, the whole church erupted into a jubilant “happy birthday.” Watch the moment again here:
