You really, really love Thembisa Mdoda. The outpouring of love for the gracious hostess of Our Perfect Wedding is steady every Sunday. Is it her vibrant personality and the energetic way in which she opens the show? Is it her commitment to her beautiful Xhosa language that sounds like a poem being recited every time she speaks?
Perhaps it’s her warmth and empathy, and the genuine connection she makes with each couple; the emotional investment she makes into their wedding. Or her humility and openness to learning and respecting the culture of the couples whose journey she captures. Maybe it’s all these things.Then there is her beauty, put on display every week with the eye-catching ensembles she wears on the show.
